Rounded up to 4 stars. Pretty good but the insta lust and insta love was a bit much. Lots of ‘raw hunger’ and other phrases of this ilk repeated on many occasions...story itself was an interesting premise.

It's usually not a good sign when I start writing (a poor) review before I even finish the book. This is not exactly a bad review, but it isn't gonna be a good one either!

First of all - I didn't like the insta-love between the characters. Especially on the guy's part. The hero is constantly thinking or saying how much he loves her and can't live without her. He seems girly and needy. I know i'm sexist, but I don't want to read about girly and needy men! I want them to be strong and tough! 2.5*

First of all - I didn't like the insta-love between the characters. Especially on the guy's part. The hero is constantly thinking or saying how much he loves her and can't live without her. He seems girly and needy. I know i'm sexist, but I don't want to read about girly and needy men! I want them to be strong and tough! Of course , the heroes should adore the heroines, but they shouldn't act like women !

Secondly - I loved the paranormal premise, the experiments, the telekinesis , etc.. However, this all took the back - BAAAACK - seat to all the sex and constant lovey-dovey talk ! Towards the end, the plot lost all the details and so much was missing in the plot resolution !

Sex scenes - plentiful to the extent that they became boring. They were also not that great because they were censored, they weren't exactly explicit or interesting in any way ... It was all "rainbows and unicorns" every time they do it. Booooring!

Other annoying things:
- It was constantly being mentioned that she doesn't wear underwear. She would even say it in front of his men. Excuse me?! First of all - gross and inappropriate. Secondly - she is this uptight, sheltered scientist, and i'm to believe that she is so comfy talking about not wearing underwear (or actually not wearing underwear).
- People walking into her bedroom and interrupting them ALL the time! Excuse me , you allow some soldiers to live with you and they think this allows them to enter your bedroom without knocking/permission at all hours?! Orrrr, her housekeeper and butler keep interrupting them as well! Does the housekeeper not have boundaries when it comes to entering her boss's bedroom?! No, she even yells at them when she finds handcuffs in bed! Excuse me?! I understand that they are all like family and that the author is trying to portray that, but even family doesn't do that ! People generally value other peoples' privacy !!! All the shenanigans in their bedroom became ludicrous!

Finally - daddy issues! Her daddy issues are unbearable ! I get that she discovered a huge secret, but MONTHS later, ON HER WEDDING DAY - she sits in the basement , watching her dad's videos and crying! Seriously ???? This makes her very dysfunctional in my book. ...more
