Divergent is a well-written tale of the future - if the future means that life as we know it ended and true segregation rules again. In this future you must choose - are you selfless, honest, brave, friendly, or do you value knowledge above all else? You must choose wisely, as there is no room for error in this highly structured civilization. Beatrice 'Tris' Porter

The beginning was a bit slow for me. It just felt like I was reading about any teenage girl, in any other time, going about mundane things in her life.

Once Beatrice made her choice and moved to this new faction things started to get better, but it really didn't pick up and pull me in until the last part of this book.

well first let me tell you that I Love This book!! it's so bittersweet!!! Divergent made me laugh and almost cry in some parts! Even though those persons that are very special to Tris got hurt because of her,she still tries to get the other people safe as in not getting killed, and that is very brave of her. I also loved how Four is kind of mean but gentle at the same time. he would be a perfect boyfriend(:! well as for tris's friends, I wish them good luck and I hope they come in the next book. ...more
