This case was a hard one for Eve, it reminds her of her past and her awful childhood. Any sexual assault case throws Eve for a loop. Her past isn't an easy one. And the bastards she's after this time are pretty dang awful. But this story was also great in showing some of the growth in Eve and Roarke's relationship. They are really learning how to be a strength for each other and for both of them to understand that going it alone isn't always best. I liked seeing Eve lean a little by choice and n ...more

I finally had a chance to get back to some of the series that I’m reading which always makes me happy. Usually I get hooked to a series that has great characters. The In Death series by JD Robb (aka Nora Roberts) is one of those series with fantastic characters!

Eve Dallas, Roarke, Peabody, Feeney, McNabb and so many more.

There is past tragedy, sarcastic humor, a little bit of steam and always a good crime to solve.

I believe there are more than 50 in this series now so I’ve got some catching up ...more
