“I love you,” I said, and stabbed him.

Sarah J. Maas is a genius.

I LOVE HER.

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and it doesn't hurt when yummy faeries *coughs* like Tamlin and Lucien aaaaand Rhysand are included.

My expectations were high after reading the Throne of Glass series. But SJM did not disappoint. Excellent writing style. And wow, I love the world building. She has done it yet again for me with ACOTAR. I was instantly sucked in

I think what made me fall head-over-heels in love with this book in the first place was that Maas has a beautiful way with words....expressing things I've thought myself, and then there it is on the page. Like when Rhys says, "Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all."

Sometimes I feel like Feyre. Maybe if we didn't feel so deeply and care so much, we could handle thi

It started off slow but when it picked up it really picked up so that is why it gets four stars instead of three. Really like the characters and am interested to see what is next for them.

Just finished "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas. After DNFing this book last year I gave it another shot and I loved it. My favorite character was Lucien by far. He's so sarcastic and funny. Feyre was OK, annoying at times but I have to admit she was kick ass at times. I liked her more than I thought I would. I loved Tamlin as a character and love interest. He was sweet, kind and protective, which I liked. Rhysand was a jerk for most of the book but he did get better towards the las ...more

I was that person who did not read fantasy novels. But over the last few years I have enjoyed escaping into their magical worlds.
This one was one such.

I thought the world it created was brilliant and it kept me engrossed.

The story of Prythian was fascinating without overwhelming detail and that I liked.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
