I was pleasantly surprised by this book. This book was one of the books that I was constantly seeing going up and down my feed, I am not normally one who jumps into a book hype but the description intrigued me so I thought I would give it a try and I am glad that i did.

I really enjoyed this, I really felt for Feyra right from the beginning of the story and I was rooting for her the whole time. Nothing was what I expected and that just made me enjoy it more.

Still an enjoyable book and now I’m hooked so I’ll have to get the next book from my daughter. So I can continue with this series

How did it take me so long to read this book??????????? Spoiler alert: I loved it!

A Court of Thorns and Roses is a Beauty and the Beast retelling which follows Feyre, a young woman who comes from a pretty poor family, and takes care of her family by hunting for food so they don't starve. One day when Feyre is out hunting, she kills a wolf and soon discovers it is no ordinary wolf. It is a terrifying Fae, a fact she learns when another turns up at her door and demands she come live with him as pa

Incredible Fantasy story! I found this a refreshing twist to the hundreds of books out there about a young woman who defies all the odds. It stands apart from those others due to the author's brilliant writing, character development and mulit-layered story.
Feyre won my heart with her sincere loyalty to her family and her undying resilience. She is a hunter who kills a Faerie and is then forced to live in the faerie land of Prythian. She must live with the Faerie who imposes a treaty on her for

Yet another Beauty and the Beast retelling that I wanted more from.

This book felt unbalanced. It took way too long to develop the story and the ending was nothing but action and ended abruptly.

While I liked the story and enjoyed the characters and the romance, I found the story dragged at times. I wished we had more history or got to know the characters in this world better. How sweet would it have been if Feyre had lured the Bogge out again with a fresh cloak after her talk with Alis?

Wow!...ok how long till the next one? That was my first Sarah J Maas book and I am hooked. I really enjoyed the story and the complex relationship between many of the characters. Can't wait to see how the story continues. ...more

I enjoyed this book much more than Throne of Glass. The author's writing style has improved, and of course she is no longer 16 like she was while writing her Throne of Glass. The world where Feyre, Tamlin and all the others lived was beautiful but ugly too. The storyline was interesting as were the faeries. I'm not sure if I will read any more of this series. I might treat this as a standalone and be satisfied with the ending as it is. ...more

This has been on my TBR list for the longest time. In every YA or Fantasy posting about what should I read next, this comes up repeatedly.

I was finally able to turn my attention to this book and I’m kicking myself for waiting for so long. What’s wrong with me? When I see so many people recommending it, why don’t I just listen and read it right away? I can’t tell you the answer to that question. But I can tell you that if you like fantasy, you should pick up this book. Go. Right now. Don’t wait.

A decent first book in a series. I didn't absolutely love this book, but there was elements I enjoyed.

I'm familiar with Sarah J. Maas's books, namely her throne of glass series. And even with that I didn't like the first two books but absolutely loved the 3rd, 4th & 5th book!

Since I've heard raving review about the next two books in this series, my fingers are crossed, the next book has been ordered and I'm hoping I'll enjoy this as much as I think I will.
