Encantada com Um cavalheiro em Moscou, do escritor americano Amor Towles, procurei seu primeiro livro, Regras de Cortesia, publicado sem grande fanfarra, no Brasil, em 2012, pela Editora Rocco, com tradução de Léa Viveiros de Castro. Temerosa dessa leitura não chegar aos pés do feitiço da anterior, fui devagar à fonte, li outros autores no intervalo, para poder apreciar a obra de maneira mais distante. This book and A Gentleman in Moscow have got to be two of the best books I have ever read.
Amor's writing transports you to New York city in 1937 and although he does not go into great character development, I still feel I know a ton about each character.
This is a great read and I highly recommend it and his Moscow book as well. I cannot wait until he publishes his next novel. ...more
