This book was very entertaining. I didn't realize it was going to be so humorous.
In the future, when I think of international spionage, I will always think of this book. Because we all know that there's probably many, many unlikely spies like Mr Wormold.
I found it interesting that Graham Greene seems to have sensed what was coming before the Cold War was even around.
The one thing I didn't enjoy about this audiobook version were the transitions between chapters and CDs were musical. Really loud ...more

It took me a while to get into this, I had it for years on my bookshelf, kept picking it up for 20 pages and putting it down again. I have this lovely, 'vintage' penguin copy, that is just as aesthetically right that I finally persevered. Although it took a while to get going, in the end I really enjoyed it. Different to what I usually read, in a good way :-) also pretty short so definitely worth a read!
