What Members Thought
Absolutely adored this. Witty and charming in equal measure. A feel good read about the Soviet Union! Terrific satire. Will be one of my favourite reads of the year. Savoured it.
A lovely, absorbing read with an incredible cast of characters, all set in Russia amidst the difficulties of life in the early 20th century. Towles is an amazing writer - his Rules for Civility was excellent as well
This was really lovely. It’s a rather still book, but it’s been echoing in my mind since I reached the last page.
A real feast for one's soul! Run to your nearest bookseller, library, or computer and get in line quickly. Books like this don't come by often!
