To start off: Evelyn is a true bisexual legend!

This book deserved every ounce of the hype I've seen for it. This honestly didn't feel like a made-up story with fictional characters. Evelyn felt so real! I felt so connected to her and the tumultuous life she lived. I loved the ups. I wish I could capture the happiness of Evelyn, Celia, Harry, and John when Connor was just a baby and save it. I cried at the downs (but no spoilers!)

I am not ashamed to say that this book made me cry. As in ugly, whimpering, and pretty-much-bawling-my-eyes-out-thank-god-no-one-was-home type of crying. This book has made me feel things I have never felt before.

I'm still trying to process everything I read and I think it's going to take time... there's just so much to take in.

First of all, what the hell do I think about Evelyn?!
I've always tried to see people not like a white or black categorization but more in the gray range, but in all honesty, there are some things that my SJW self just doesn't let go of so easily, and that includes pretty much everything Evelyn has done. Evelyn Hugo was a character I was yet to meet someday. You could get as much famous as you like but you'll never be satisfied. The one thing that mattered to her in the end was family, which she took it for granted. She wasnt the kindness. Her childhood was tragic, specially with her mom being This is my first read from Taylor's and I can now tell that it wont be my last, Cuz' Im definitely going to be read all of her works if it's this great as this book.(which of course of betting it will be.)

Evelyn Hugo was a character I was yet to meet someday. You could get as much famous as you like but you'll never be satisfied. The one thing that mattered to her in the end was family, which she took it for granted. She wasnt the kindness. Her childhood was tragic, specially with her mom being the only sunflower in her life, passing away while Evelyn was 11. So she grew up her knowing that doing the ugly things might be the only ticket to her freedom.

"When you're given an opportunity to change your life, be ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen. The world doesn't give things, you take things" is what Evelyn told Monique on the first day.

Now, Monique. Her career wasnt going well but that didnt stop her from continuing. "The world respects people who think they should be running it. Then Evenly comes in to her life. Asking her write Evelyn's autobiography. The full truth story from the beginning of her life. With the most famous part of her life, her Seven husbands. The book is to be released after her death. The reason for this is because Monique had something to do in it that she later finished out from Evelyn in the last parts of the book. Monique's father was Harry Cameron's last lover. Evelyn finds a letter inside Harry's pockets addressed to him. Which mentions Monique's mother and herself (as "my daughter"). Evelyn, back in 1989, set up the accident to make Monique's father as drunk sappy driver while taking Harry away from the scene. Monique, lied for nearly thirty years, now sees Evelyn even more differently. It will take some awhile for Monique to forgive her.

And as they finish. On their final meeting. Evelyn says goodbye in the only way Monique understood. She was going to take her life and be with her mom, Harry, Conner, and the love of her life, Celia. Monique respected her decision because of a previous piece that she had wrote about. Right-To-Die. After Evelyn death, Monique publishes the book.

Truly an amazing story. I was really happy to find out that this indeed was easy to read. I imagined for some reason, it wouldnt be. This is a book that I'll be surely reread it.
