sea of monsters was always my least favourite of the series when i initially read it, and i think its because the series and the stakes of the story deepen a lot more. the overarching kronos and prophecy plot becomes much more prevalent, and for a measly nine year old like myself that can be overwhelming and boring. but reading it EIGHT long years later it makes me smile :)

i didn't really recognize how tyson could or did represent kids with down's syndrome my first time around, but now reading ...more

This book was not one of my favorite of the Percy Jackson series. It's just the second book is usually not the best. I liked the story behind it, but the writing of this book was just not...I don't want to say bad but...it was just eh.
