DNF at 70 percent. Yes it was that bad. Even the climax couldn't convince me to continue. What made the book worse for me probably was the Harry Potter resemblances. It's one thing to be slightly inspired by a book and it's another thing to draw almost half your characters exactly like those of that other book. Hermione is my favorite female character of all time and I didn't care for another wannabe Hermione tbh. Percy probably was the worst character of the book. Insolent, reckless, stupid, an ...more

Shelves: didn-t-see-that-ending, didn-t-disappoint, cliffhanger, might-re-read, greek-mythology, greek-gods

Another fun quest with Percy Jackson and this time new characters, higher stakes and well more Gods were there. I enjoyed all the myths that were mentioned...Percy growing as a character and Annabeth of course. I did like how this didn't just focus on his quests but looked at his relationship with his (view spoiler).
I'm really excited for the next one....I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!!!! And I want to know what will happen next!!!!!

This book was not one of my favorite of the Percy Jackson series. It's just the second book is usually not the best. I liked the story behind it, but the writing of this book was just not...I don't want to say bad but...it was just eh.
