Why? This is why....
“To really be a nerd, she'd decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.”
THAT'S WHY, Cath is fangirl just like me. She's uncomfortable with people, just like me. The only thing that is missing is MY LEVI. Where's my Levi? I loved this book so much because its really relatable and fun! The storyline isn't heavy, and its refreshing. Complicated problems and stupid characters in this book were absent in this book, and that’s a big hell yes! I love the ...more

Seriously, why do anyone like this book? I couldn't help thinking 'Woah, I'm not liking this' throughout the book. Reduced my rating from 3 to 2.

I usually don't read contemporary YA books because I like to escape to a different kind of world and give my brain a break from the current "real" world we live in. "Fangirl " reminded me why I don't prefer to read this platform of YA books.
To be honest, the story is somewhat of a fun, light read with a lot of family and personal drama...if you like that sort of thing.
The writing itself wasn't my favorite. It's very linear, very simple and reminded me of what I would read in a fanfi ...more

I. Hated. This. Book. I. Hate. It. With. A. Passion. I can't believe I wasted four hours of my life on it. I hated it from cover to cover...anything that is possible to hate in a book, I hated. From the characters, to the storyline, to the secondary storyline, to the style of writing. The language was fairly excessive and completely unnecessary and there was way too much discussion about sex. Nothing graphic was described..it was insinuated and implied frequently....far too frequently. I dislike

Finally. finally I'm done.
This was harassing.
Don't get me wrong, this is exquisitely written, the characters are incredibly well done, it was funny and relatable more than once, but... But.
This was way too long. And I mean way, WAY too long.
And there was basically no plot.
This would have been a solid 4 stars with 300 pages less, or maybe even 200 pages less. But god. This was getting practically nowhere, but it sure was still going. And still going. And never stopping. An C ...more

I honestly understand why people like this book so much. It had amazing characters that I really liked and the plot was deep. However it wasn't my favorite read. I just thought the book went on for too long and the mother was barely in it. Fangirl definitely related to me and how I feel about my authors. I loved the sister relationship with Cath and Wren. I'm still shaky on Cath's relationship with Levi. I like them together but i don't die heart love them.

Omg Levi is mine! This book was so so so cute! An awesome contemporary romance! Ughh I can’t stop thinking about Levi! He was so precious and I loved Cath as well, I was so related to her!!!
Okay ... let me start. I liked the book, but still not going to get 5 stars because Cath during most of the book was a very closed person that does not like me, which saved him from putting the 3 stars was that Cath had a development suitable.
All the characters loved, had a good development. Rainbow Rowell knows very well how to make their teenage characters. The only mistake in this book was to make a person / character very tight, which did not want to meet new people, did not want to leave th ...more

It's a good written young adult contemporary novel with an open ending (I think that the point of this ending is to let you write whatever you want about Cath, like she does with Simon and Baz on Carry On, to start a fanfic about Fangirl).
I liked the development of the story, the characters' personalities and the way you find three different writings in just one book (Rainbow Rowell's writing, Gemma T. Leslie's writing and Cath's writing) I can imagine t ...more

Extremely disappointed. Came in expecting so much. But I really didn't like it. It just felt cringy and forced. I don't know.
