really, really, really cute.
Fangirl is a coming of age story about 2 twins - Cath and Wren - who are just about to go off to college. Up until this point in their lives they have done everything together and were rarely apart, kind of like each other's shadows. To Caths dismay Wren decides that she would like them to live more separate lives at university, and that includes not being each others roommates. Cath suffers social anxiety and is more interested in writing fanfiction - Simon Snow, loosely based on Harry Potter -

'Fangirl' is the story of Cath who is a great fan of 'Simon Snow' series and spends most of her time writing fanfic. It's coming-of-age story of Cath going
to college and dealing with things. Cath's character was very very relatable. I liked the weird, antisocial Cath and her story was very enjoyable and realistic.
Her social awkwardness and the fact that she ate protein bars so she didn't have to face going to cafeteria was funny and cute. All the characters were very

Thank you, Rainbow Rowell, for this fascinating novel. I loved Cath so much, although I'm practically nothing like her. She was unique and interesting, and her relationship with Wren was very endearing. I especially loved Reagan and her wild spirit <3 Not to forget Simon and Baz! I wonder if the books do exist...that would be awesome! ...more

Why did I wait so long to read this one??
I so needed this in my life. Work is driving me crazy and consuming my reading/bed time energies. I needed Fangirl. It was like getting fresh air, like after being in the Central Line in London on the hottest day of summer-kind of fresh air. It was an easy read, but OH MY GOSH - SOOO GOOD easy read. I love it!!! The characters were amazing, the plot and those Carry On moments together were brilliant. Rainbow Rowell is fantastic!! Damn, I am still so much ...more
