Another dose of Sookie Stackhouse, another quick and relaxing light read. The author adds more of the supes with each book, and ends this one with a potentially interesting new character. If you stop to think too hard about this series, it's just silly - but that probably applies to most, and this is no 8 after all. After the last Sookie Stackhouse book left me a little cold -- and bored! I couldn't remember any of what happened in it, so I re-read it before I got this one, and I still didn't remember having read it before then -- this one felt like a great return to form. Wrapped up a few outstanding plotlines, tossed in a few things that are certain to make the next book interesting, and kept my attention the whole time, start to finish.

I am hopelessly addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse series. I love that I can read one of these over a weekend or even a day. I devoured books 1-8 in about 7 weeks' time. Still have to get a hold of a copy of Book 9, and of course book 10 comes out this spring. (:

This may possibly be my favorite book in the series so far. Sookie is starting to be likable, which is refreshing. I am looking forward to the rest.
