Ok so clearly I am going to continue with this detective/horror/weird science series. Entertaining and interesting, and we now know a bit more about Agent Pendergast and his extended family. How he seems to suffer violence and come back for more is a bit of a mystery, but quite in keeping with the tone of the book. I don't know if Cabinets of Curiosities were really a thing back in the day, but it does flesh out the story (no pun intended there).

Angent Pendergast gets Nora Kelly and her boyfriend reporter Bill Smithback involved int he discovery of 30 some odd bodies discovered in a charnel pit dating fromt he 1800's. The investigation sson leads to a series of similar present day murders. This book didn't suck me in as much as the first two in the series but I still found it an emjoyable read.
