O carte foarte buna si care te prinde instant. Nu este o capodopera, sa ne intelegem, dar are multa actiune si esti captivat din start. Winona, Aurora si Vivi Ann sunt 3 surori cu vieti diferite. Fiecare dintre ele trece prin anumite momente cheie, iar un anumit personaj (nu spun care) va fi cel mai greu lovit de soarta. Cumva nu mi s-au parut verosimile multe intamplari din carte, dar am iertat-o pe autoare pentru ca a reusit sa ma scoata din reading slump. Pentru ca asta urma. A fost o lectura

My 5th book by Kristin Hannah - her books are fast reads, but I usually get very wrapped up in the characters and care about how their stories play out. This was was about three sisters and I always love books involving three sisters. Also the Pacific Northwest setting was different and appealing. Good summer read!
Not her most well written novel and a bit overly wordy, but kept me glued to the pages so I'll give it 4 stars.

This was a long long novel. At least it seem that way due to the way Kristin laid out the timeline of the story to cover many years . I would have liked it if Aurora had some back story to her. She was part of the story. The only thing I knew about her was that she was married, had kids , and copied celebrity looks. She was just sort of the messenger in the story. Overall I liked the story and had a great ending .
I was a bit disappointed by this book. I love all of other Hannah's books, but especially the beginning of the book was so-so for me. The second half redeemed the first half, so maybe 3.5 stars.
The characters were rather flat. I found that Winona and Vivi Ann could have been so much more interesting. Noah's character was really the best. ...more
