What an epic. These 600 something pages were finished too soon! The narrative is perfect, characters are memorable, and I couldn't help to imagine Marlon Brando's brilliant performance as Don Vito Corleone. Godfather is the father of all mafia stories. And I'm so very glad I could finally read the book after amazed with the movie long time ago. Now it's the time to watch it one more time!

This book is a very interesting read. The Godfather is my favorite movie, and the book really fills in the gaps that the movie didn't get into. For example, Santino is a large man, who sleeps with many women, one of whom he injures. Also, Rocco is a very interesting character that the movie fails to delve into.
