What Members Thought
Maeve Binchy last book is really a set of short stories of people who live on Chestnut Street. It seemed as if she was trying out characters, to see if they had interesting stories enough to make a novel. Since I am a fan of her writing, (loved Tara Road, Copper Beech, and Evening Class), I found the stories sweet and touching.
This short story collection from an author I usually like, was a bit underwhelming. Binchy considered this an unfinished work, and that shows.
Did not finish.
