What Members Thought
I think it's starting to be time for Pendergast to move towards retirement - this one just feels like a lot of running around with relatively little in the way of places to go. Perhaps it's because he's running almost entirely solo this time around, but the guy just doesn't have the same appeal on the page as he's had in previous entries. If future installments don't bring him back into the world of the living, it's going to be a series that lands in petered-out territory.
