What Members Thought

The Pendergasts are definitely guilty-pleasure reading for me. I know they're not high art, the plots are often steeped in a heavy admixture of nonsense, and the characters almost nothing like real people. And yet it's pleasing to see something of a return to form here, as I find this one much better than the last couple entries. Hopefully as long-running series lines about Pendergast's past finally tie up, Preston and Child send him off into some new ground.
