I am a fan of Tom Wolfe and have loved his earlier books. This novel does not disappoint, but does not live up to his best work. Set in Miami, Wolfe follows the life and experiences of many characters such as Nestor the somewhat naive but ultimately good cop of Cuban ancestry , Magdalena the lobbed of his life who drops him early on to pursue a relationship with her more successful boss - a sex addiction therapist, all of whom become involved in a potential case of art fraud.
