For some reason, I had not read this book, until now. I have read the first two books in the series multiple times. A Wrinkle in Time is an all time favorite. I loved being back in L'Engle's world.

This one was not so good. It doesn't fit with the other two at all (character, theological source material, or vibe-wise) and was interminably boring in addition to being a bit offensive in today's age (racism and sexism lite - just enough to make you feel slightly punchy). Also confusing with all of the repetitive names. I don't even really know what the point of it all was. L'Engle had a pressing need to write about Wales?

Still loving this series. Such fast fun reads, great for summer, when I don't like to read too much!
