A must read for anyone who wants to change the world!
I loved reading the history from a teen girl's point of view. I learned so much about Pakistan and the Taliban. The book includes a good amount of history and background, and does it in a way that really shows how the people were being affected in their daily lives. Malala is a girl who is wise well beyond her years, and her perspective after the shooting of wanting to do even more with her second chance at life is so inspiring! ...more

I bought this book because the kindle version was on sale, and was so glad that I did. I had not followed Malala's story closely when she was shot, and was amazed to read about all the work she did to promote education, and girls' education in particular, within Pakistan.
Given that the book is written by a girl who has only just turned 16, I was a little worried that the quality of writing would reflect her age, but it turns out that the book was co-written by an award-winning journalist, Christ ...more

This is both a powerful memoir and young/adult read that we should all read regardless of color or age or gender.
