I read Joe Hill's first book,

Awesome amazing wiriter....read everything he's ever written as fast as possible. The jury is still out on whether he is a pseudonym for Steven King's son, but it doesn't matter. He's brilliant no matter who he is. He even makes sly references to his own work. Modern Horror at its most horrific. Christopher Golden loves him, and he's brilliant too, so its all good.

The main character is so flawed it is a wonder he can get out of bed in the morning, yet you can't help feeling a little sorry for him. I just wish I didn't have to pity him for as long as the book lasted.
