This book is absolutely hilarious and was responsible for me deciding to be a vegetarian way back whenever (not strictly veg anymore, so I guess it's just responsible for me basically never eating meat at this point).

Truly amazing book. Read this book for its interesting feminist stance and seriously great fiction on food politics and globalization. Funny, scary, one of the best books of the last 10 years.
American food, gender, and race politics. Excellent book. I read one of the other books by the same author, but I cannot remember the title. I do remember loving it too. Read it around the same time as fast food nation.
I was a bit confused with this book at first. I had a hard time figuring out what the author was trying to tell me ,but once I understood what she was doing I was hooked.
