Warning--not an easy read. DeLillo has a very different/unique writing style--don't expect to be able to follow it easily. Lots of switching of perspectives and time frames...you don't get the whole story on anything, and it comes to you in bits & pieces over the 800+ pages. Thanks to my son Alex for his college English paper from a DeLillo course--it helped a lot in understanding DeLillo's style & purposes behind it (somewhat)!

There were some good parts, like the opening, the older couple looking for the baseball (which reminded me of a good Saul Bellow story), and the chilling serial killer bit. So there you go. 3 good short stories in a long ass "novel." It's not as bad as some would say, but it's no where as good as others insist.
