A fun book -- the ruminations of a sickly old man who is in lust with his daughter-in-law. Amusing for light reading, but it also seems capable of much deeper and more exacting reading.

Shelves: asian-flavor

I am pretty far from the age of Utsugi and I have no right judging anyone. Still I didn't like the way he thought about his daughter in law.
I liked this book for many insights from the japanese culture that was not so familiar to me before reading it.
