Neuromancer is one of the earliest cyberpunk novels and plunges you right into its futuristic world with little-to-no exposition. I liked that aspect of it, having to figure out what everything means and what exactly the world state is--although I think I'd have to give it a second read to better grasp the author's vision. You could read through this and think, yeah the matrix, cyberspace, Artificial Intelligence, yadda yadda yadda--until you remember this was published in 1984, before computers ...more

I think there's a lot of creativity here but I struggled with this book. For the vast majority of the time I didn't understand what was going on. I'm still not sure I did although I think I got the gist of it. ...more
