So..the book isn't without merit, (imaginative, original, etc.) but I just could not finish it. This doesn't happen often for me. I realized almost exactly midway that I didn't have anything to hold on to, or where to delve into meaning. I could could get on board with a book where there is no clear distinction between what's "real" and what's a dream, but--this book was also extremely gross (for lack of a better word), filled with extremely dark and disturbing images, a lot of bugs and grime an ...more
