This was a fun read. The mystery was just ok, really just an excuse for character interaction, but it was the characters that made this a very enjoyable read. It was good enough to make me want to read the next in the series to see what happens next in the characters' lives.

This is a good start to what I believe is going to be a good mystery series. It was recommended to me a while ago, but I just now starting reading it and I think I am really going to like it. In this first one, some of the plots devices seemed to be a little bit contrived, but I think that will get better as the series progresses. I am ready to move on to book#2 in the Supper Club Mystery series.

I enjoyed this mystery especially the structure of the case and the balance of the group of main characters. I did find the MC, James Henry, a bit of a wet noodle. I think it was just a contrast to how often the female lead character is a strong independent woman. James just comes across as an indecisive man who has very little self confidence.
