Really interesting to get Zelda's perspective on what was really a crazy and unusual life. I loved the fact that all these famous authors, poets, composers and painters really did hang out with each other. Good descriptions of the ex-Pat life in the 20s and 30s. I have never liked Hemingway, the man or his works and this book also did not paint him in an attractive light. Very well done book of historical fiction that "sees" things through the eyes of Zelda Fitzgerald. Thanks to Chris for being my audio reader in our car rides.

By the conclusion, I enjoyed this book very much. It is a daunting undertaking to write a fiction imagining the experience of being Zelda Fitzgerald, particularly given the vast amount of nonfiction writing on the Fitzgeralds and the Jazz Era. Fowler succeeds, however, because of her obvious love of her subject and vast research.
