I'm really not sure what to make of this book; parts of the novel were more like a 2.5-3 stars. The book jacket description doesn't seem especially accurate. There was a lot of potential to explore the grieving process and family relationships, not to mention the paranormal concept clashing against the new scientific study. But somehow I don't feel the book addressed these issues in anything but a superficial manner. I found myself skimming trying to hurry along the plot line.

Wow! This enjoyable work of historical fiction will take your breath away by how amazingly well it takes you back in time.
