This is the first Toni Morrison book I've read, and I loved her writing. I recognize that the title character is not a horrible person, that she's a woman constrained by her race, gender, and the times. I appreciated Sula's plight, but I struggled with the fact she showed no remorse for what she did to Nel, her best friend. ...more
