This is one of the best epistolary novels I've ever read. It ranks up there with Up the Down Staircase by Bel Kaufman. I've been looking for a book like this for years. I only stumbled on this one, accidentally.

I'm doing the PopSugar Reading Challenge this year for the fourth year in a row. I hope to finish all fifty books this year, so I'm reading along with the Ultimate PopSugar Reading Challenge group here on Goodreads. This is the book the group chose for our March read, to fulfill the promp

Complex and entertaining

This book was bit different than I expected. I enjoyed the story and the complexities of the characters. I felt the author captured the quirkiness of an artistic soul quite well in Bernadette. The book illustrated the different takes on the same situations by different people quite well.

This book was so intriguing and different that I could not put it down. It was really good, although a bit like a train wreck in progress, with the train speeding at max speed towards a derailment that can't be stopped. The reader gets so engrossed in what is happening to Bee and her family that you can't wait to see what the next turn of events brings. Definitely a book for those who like something different. ...more

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and it's quirky, fun, sad, unusual in its writing and insights. If you have any interest in architecture or Microsoft, you may especially enjoy this book. The character development is quite good. ...more
