I really enjoyed this novel and its epistolary format. Although the main character is neurotic and acid, but she is also extremely intelligent and quite, quite funny. This book stands up to its popular reputation. Funny yes but some great social commentary is woven throughout the story. I’m so glad I didn’t let it’s popularity deter me from reading this book. Topic for discussion in my opinion would be whether or not this book has a happy ending ? My guess is that opinions will differ.

Refreshingly different. A smart writer. I'd like to read more by her.
