Quite possibly one of the worst works of fiction I've ever read. The premise was fascinating. Main character works at a homeless shelter after recovering from a brutal attack. Character becomes obsessed with a box of photos left behind by a deceased client of the shelter. Action, intrigue, mystery and suspense to follow.

But no. There was no suspense, intrigue, etc. Don't believe the back of this book, which says, among other things, "Terrifying...Laurel is an unforgettable, vulnerable, complica

Solid beach read that opens with a heart racing attack of a girl who is biking through a remote, wooded area in Vermont. I liked the first three fourths of this book - I thought it was clever and since I had read Gatsby in the past year, I enjoyed how the author weaved In all the characters. I enjoyed readng about life in Burlington VT and the characters were pleasant.
But the last fourth was downright obnoxious. When I realized where it was going, it just fell apart for me. And the jail scene was one of the worst scenes I have read in a long time. Don't think I would recommend it.
