3 for the story, adding half a star for the laughs. If you're looking for a book to listen to at 3am when trying to find the sandman, this series is a good choice. It's a little violent for me, but the laughs make up for it. A nice escape read.

I was all set to give this book a trash review at first- reading it straight after some good literature really highlighted the sassy language, exaggeration for humour, sheer dumbness of the heroine, the overdrawn sexiness of the two male interests and complete unlikeliness of the plot. Stephanie Plum is on the trail of Maxine Nowicki who was arrested for stealing her boyfriends car. Of course this being Stephanie the search isn't easy and involves a car explosion, counterfitting, a drag queen and Stephanie temporarily moving in with Morelli. Lots of fun.
