Vintage Gerritsen with Jane Rizzoli having mst of the action in this one. The Chinese immigrant population in Boston figures prominently in this one and one learns something of their problems as well as Chinese folklore. Fromher experiences in this book as well as the experiences of other characters, Jane learns more about what it means to be a mother. Plenty of vivid descriptions in this one so if violence is offensive to you, read fast or skip parts of this one

Moves reasonably well, but I have such a huge problem with the gaping plot hole left at the end (which is literally addressed with "eh, we're probably not going to figure that out and it's OK" by the characters) that it just makes me crazy. It's my first by Gerritsen, and I can't say it inspires me to more.
