This was my first time reading one of James Patterson's adult novels. I've read a couple of his young adult novels before and enjoyed them so when I saw the premise for this one I really wanted to read it and expected it to wow me.

This started of great, lions escaping from the zoo in the States and then lions in Botswana eating up a safari guides brother, then it kind of went downhill from there. The main story being about animals around the world rising up to attack humans and how a biologist discovers why.
Definitely could be written better, it's a little choppy and simple. I've read few books from Patterson's "Private" series and enjoyed those. This one was a little disappointing although I don't regret reading it. ...more

James Patterson joins the dystopia craze. I'm not a big fan of urban fantasy / dystopia / etc. which might account for some of why I didn't care a whole lot for this book. Several sections dragged; didn't have the usual breakneck Patterson speed.
