What Members Thought
This was NOT a good book. I kept thinking it would get better but it never did. The only fun part was how he trashed corporate lawyers and the corporate culture of the Wall Street firms. He portrays them as greedy, unethical sharks who are taking their clients for everything they can. The dialog was clumsy or not believable. The actions of certain characters were not supported and the ending was sappy and thrown together. Did grisham have a deadline and just sent in a first draft?
A thrilling fast paced book,it's typical Grisham =) and succesfuly fulfilled my craving for another Grisham's story. Kyle McAvoy is a likable character, with complicated plot that could make you frown and whine but keep opening the next page.. The ending is a bit blah though, but I can forgive it!
