Just rereading this in 2025 and enjoying it so far. My previous review from 2016 is below - I may write a new one after finishing.

I'm enjoying rereading the Lord Peter Wimsey books in order. This one has an intriguing start, when Peter and his policeman friend Parker are eating out together, and an overheard conversation leads to the reopening of what would now be called a "cold case".

Enjoyable mystery from 1927. Be warned, it does contain material of its time on women and people of color. But at the same time, Sayers seems to attempt to try to be progressive on several things.
