This was more of a 2.5 stars. The Cheese Shop mysteries debut has a lot going for it. I love the setting, love all the cheese lore, love the wine and wine info, sometimes liked the protagonist Charlotte, loved Providence, OH, loved Grandmere and Grandpere.

Great start to a cozy mystery set in OH. Charlotte and her cousin Matthew are hosting a reopening gala for the family Fromagerie when a business nemesis if found murdered. Unfortunately their Grandmere, Bernadette, is the one who finds him and is the suspected killer. Charlotte works with her assistant, Rebecca, to find the guilty party and prove her grandmother innocent. Charlotte Bessete and her cousin Matthew have taken over the family cheese shop and added a wine annex. At the grand reopening the owner of the store building is murdered with a cheese knife and Charlotte's grandma is the prime suspect. Of course, this being a cozy mystery, Charlotte decides to find the killer herself. If yo know more about cheese than I do you might find the cheese facts interesting. Overall the mystery wasn't very difficult to solve. I didn't mind Charlotte but am in no hurry
