Just love these Chet and Bernie books, very addicting.

The mayor has managed to get a Hollywood movie to shoot in town and he hires Bernie to keep an eye on the star Thad Perry. While doing this Bernie and Chet, Bernie's dog who narrates the book, investigate the death of a man that Thad's body guard Jiggs has a secret meeting with. I love Chet and he once again gets to save the day. I'm glad Che and Bernie weren't separated this time around and I look forward to reading more of the series.

Quinn's take on the inner life of a dog is amusing, and I appreciate how he uses that device to give some quirky insights into human relationships. I do wish the mystery element was a bit stronger, though.
