The storyline was just too unbelievable from Nan getting involved with the X's again, to her accepting the horrible position at Jarndyce, to her husband's disappearance to Africa. And the plot dragged throughout a good portion of the book. I finished b/c I was hoping something would happen or get resolved, but ..... not so much. ...more

This book was kind of lame. It was too similar to the previous one and not enough resolutions for non-main characters. It was light quick read, but not anything great.
