2,5 stars but I rounded it up into 3 stars because I love the first book and still have sentimental hope for the sequel. 12 years after she left New York and the chaotic Xs family, Nan is now back in NYC. Ready to take off with her lovely husband, new house, fresh career - but things are not exactly as smooth as she thought it would be. Especially when there are some ghosts from her past suddenly showing up in her life.

The storyline was just too unbelievable from Nan getting involved with the X's again, to her accepting the horrible position at Jarndyce, to her husband's disappearance to Africa. And the plot dragged throughout a good portion of the book. I finished b/c I was hoping something would happen or get resolved, but ..... not so much.

This book was kind of lame. It was too similar to the previous one and not enough resolutions for non-main characters. It was light quick read, but not anything great.
