Really great book. The characters are extremely unlikeable but very interesting. The novel follows an early 30ish newspaper reporter, Camille Preaker from Chicago sent back to her home town in Missouri to cover the story of the murder of two young girls. She's not met with open arms by her mother Adora and much younger step sister Amma. As the story unfolds we learn more and more about these interesting but unlikeable characters. (view spoiler)

The plot is gripping, but I find that I really dislike how Flynn chooses to describe things in her books. I don't know; maybe I'm just too squeamish for her descriptions.
