I very much like the characters in Penny's Three Pines novels. However, the mystery themselves are so-so. I hear that the series gets better so I will continue to read these books, which are well written and interesting. ...more

Shelves: rereading
Another interesting and comfortable book in the Gamache series. I enjoyed the quirkiness of the Three Graces and the very descriptive snow scenes. I definitely will read these in order from now on. There is so much in these earlier books that lead into the stories which I have already read in 9,10 and 11. Fortunately they all have the same endearing characters and the amazing setting of Three Pines.

Another great installment in the Gamache detective series! This one with curling! I love how different the characters are, some charming, some devious, all well drawn and compelling. Can’t wait for the next one!
