Just finished the book and maybe it's too early yet to write the review, as I'm not sure what to write. I still feel caught up in the story and emotional from it, bouncing between feelings of melancholy and a certain nostalgia.

It was lovely, though also at times annoying. I recommend it though, no doubt there. This is what the best books do, isn't it? Leave us caught up in our emotions, even after we've read the last page, closed the book, and put it down.

I enjoyed this book so much. I could really feel the era through the language. It is set in the late 30's, the confident banter of the lead was wonderful to read. The characters were all likable, even when they shouldn't have been. ...more

I loved the way this man writes, I loved the characters,and I loved the story. I want to read it again and underline all the lines I found interesting, thought provoking or just true and I would probably find something on every other page.
