Trisha MacFarland, 9 years old, is on a hike with her mother and older brother on the Appalachia trail in Maine. Her mother and brother have been fighting nonstop since her parents divorce. To get a break from them Trisha wonders off the path to pee. She tries to take a short cut back to the trail and end up getting hopelessly lost. The story is mainly told from Trisha's POV though there are glimpses of what is going on with her family and the search party. There is a little bit of a supernatura ...more
