Hmmm...I couldn't really identify with Ehwa and her mom, especially in regards to all the flower talk. However, I appreciate how the setting and time period color this coming of age story set in the Korean countryside back in the day. I was surprised to find out this trilogy was written by a man...but felt maybe that was why I often found myself wondering why the women spoke as they did.
