What an excellent debut novel.
This story opens with June, who loses her Uncle Finn to AIDS when people didn't know much about the disease. The rest of the book is about how she copes with this loss and how the loss impacts her relationship with other people, particularly her sister Greta, who is having some major issues of her own.
